Known issue with 1.4 TSI engines (Twincharger)

Are you experiencing no power at low RPMs or does the car only pull above 3000 rpm?

Then there's a high chance that the magnetic clutch of the water pump / supercharger is defective.

In these engines, the supercharger operates via this magnetic clutch.
If it doesn't engage properly → no boost at low RPMs = no power.

Common fault codes

• P10AA – Supercharger magnetic clutch stuck in open position
• P10AC – Short to ground magnetic clutch
• P2262 – No turbo / supercharger boost (mechanical)

Symptoms

• No power below ±3000 RPM
• Car feels "sluggish" at low RPMs
• Turbo / supercharger not building boost
• Engine warning light
• Poor acceleration
